Denise is an Irish cinematographer based in London who has a restless and inquisitive mind that loves tell stories through a lens.
Started in the camera department in 2000 working her way up to DoP. She did not attend film school. She is more self exploratory and has taught herself how to look at light and the world in her own unique way through making her own short films and photography
She has also spent time learning her craft with Arri Berlin, BBC Evesham and ASC in LA.
She has operated camera along side Cinematographers such as Christopher Doyle HKSc ( In the mood for love, Hero) and Alun Bollinger ( Lord of the Rings, Heaven Creatures) amongst others.
She has shot many different genres across film and worked with Artists and Directors from many different background in different countries (India, France, Finland etc..) and formed the first all Woman Camera Crew working in Ireland with Nuria Roldos AEC and Donata Ferrario.
She has a fascination for the beautiful, the horror and the surreal that's intertwined with every day life and those are the moments that she tries to capture. She has a very natural aptitude to the story and a strong creative sensibility combined with a sharp eye for the little details.
She brings a blend of unique experience to the role of Cinematographer and has a unique lived experience that informs how she see the world through the lens.
